It pays to become a member

Many of Fellesforbundet's members are entitled to support from LO's Education Fund when they undertake further and continuing education or shorter courses. If you are taking a trade exam as a practical candidate, you will also receive support to cover expenses. To apply for support from the Education Fund, you must have been a continuous member for the past three years at the time of application. If you are applying for support for general academic education that leads to university entrance qualifications, or for practical candidate courses (according to § 3.5 of the Education Act), you must have one year of continuous membership. The same applies if you are taking reading and writing courses with computer-assisted tools organized by Arbeiderbevegelsens Opplysningsforbund (AOF).
