Introduction
The department head is the data controller for the personal data we have registered and process in connection with your membership in Department 730.
This privacy notice provides you with information on how we process your personal data and what rights you have.
Personal data registered by the department
Name, birth number, address, tax information, date of hire and salary history,
email address, mobile number, union affiliation, dues information, date of joining, department affiliation and trusted positions within the Fellesforbundet umbrella.
2.1 What the department uses personal data for
The basis for processing personal data is either that the processing is necessary to fulfil obligations related to membership, that we are obliged to process it by law, or that we have a legitimate interest in the processing that outweighs any privacy-related detriment to you.
The most central purposes for which the personal data are used are:
Assist the member in civil-law matters.
Maintain a secure system for legal documentation.
Administration of the member in accordance with the federation's purposes stated in the bylaws.
In connection with monthly reporting to Altinn.
Who we share your information with
Altinn, LOfavør AS, Veiviseren, The Magazine for Union Members,
Nets (payment processor to the banks) and the Fellesforbundet member portal.
The federation collects email addresses for sending newsletters to members.
The federation collects phone numbers for sending SMS to members.
Information is also collected for conducting member surveys.
The department collects e-mail addresses / phone numbers for sending current
information to the members.
Geographic storage of personal data
In principle, personal data are not stored outside Norway, but some service providers have data centers in the EU where GDPR is followed.
How long we store your information
The department stores your personal data as long as it is necessary or we are required to store it by law.

The privacy legislation gives you rights related to your personal data:
Although this privacy notice provides a lot of information, you can request more detailed information about how we process information about you and you have the right to access your personal data. If your personal data are incorrect, you have the right to have them corrected. Personal data that we do not have a basis to process should be deleted and you can require this to be done if we have not taken care of it on our own initiative. You can also request that we restrict the use of your data.
If you believe we are processing your data without a legal basis, you may file a complaint with the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet), but we encourage you to contact the department so that we can address your objections and clarify any misunderstandings.
If you wish to exercise your rights, please contactthe department head in Dept. 730and your request will, after the GDPR has come into force in Norway, be answered within 30 days. See «Routine – access, correction and deletion» as well as «Form for requests for access, correction or deletion».
